CA-125 level

by Afshin, Jun 27, 2003 12:00AM
My sister CA-125 before operation was 500, after 6th session of chemo (with Taxol)came done to 42 and after the 7th session it's gone up to 76. Should she continue with Taxol? or it means Taxol can't help her anymore and she has to switch to other type of chemo?

Now after the 8th chemo with taxol, my sister's CA125 has gone up again from 76 to 92. Her doctor has recommended "GEMZAR" twicw a month. (one today, one after 8 days, 3 weeks rest and repeat again). My quession is if there is any chance left for her or not? I contacted with some doctors in Germany and they said she has no chance. Is there any chance for her in USA or Canada? Do you recommend the same treatment there? I can bring her to USA or Canada if there is any chance for her there. Please advise
