CA 125
Well I had my test monday and the doctors office just called. The CA 125 was 2.7. I could feel the stress leave my body as they gave me the number. Tomorrow is my exam so unless he feeels something I am not going to see him until after the new year and the holidays. Hooray. Is any one on Arimedex, I have been but took myself off it because I was gettin so very sick, nauseus, anxiety, constipation, joint pain, eye pain, I have been on and off an estrogen blocker since the end of chemo (ie. tamoxifin, femara horrible and now arimidex) Any tips to make it more bearable?

Yes, I was on Aromasin for a year. The only way I found to get relief from all of the pain and inflammation was to stop taking it. I even cut down to one every other day, but yet it got so bad that I couldn't get up out of a chair. Or a car. The pain was just awful. I was even on prescription-strength anti-inflammatories.

The side effects are almost all gone now. It has been almost three months since I stopped. I'm considering taking it once a week. When I get up my courage, I'll let you know. If anyone else has tried this, please write to me!

At my mum's hospital, the CA-124 results would normally be known 2-3 hours after testing (if we are lucky - only 1 hour) and it is alway so difficult to bear while we wait for the results. Thank goodness my mum's favorite shopping complex is next door and she could just shop to get rid of the stress waiting for the results.
