Brief History..I am 42yrs old and 1 yr menopausal. Was diagnosed with 6.5cm ovarian (complex) cyst in july.Have had 3 ultrasounds,ca125 and some other blood test(marker) and cat scan. Ultrasounds show complex cyst and have been described as hemmoragic, endometrioma or cystenoma. All the radiologists and
my Gyno feel probably not sinister as 'complex' part looks like blood particles or something and also my age.Got results from ca125 today at 11 and other test at 5. Still waiting on ct scan report.I have read that ca125 is somewhat more reliable in menopausal women. Can you confirm this?
Scared silly and would like to know if this is reasurring.
Would be most grateful for any thoughts on above.
(scheduled for surgery anyway because I want it out)but pretty
much living scared until then.
Thanks very much
Mary
