CA125

CA125

I am 41 years old.  I went to my gyn about 6 weeks ago because I was having very bad cramps and it hurt to sit down tender.  After exam he said I had a ruptured ovulatory cyst? I believe.  They also did an internal ultrasound and blood tests.  Well my CA 125 came back slightly elevated I believe about 32.  But my question is Was this a good time to do it?  The CA 125?  Of course I had to go thru the holidays worrying about this.  I go back again for a repeat CA 125 and ultrasound.  Scared and any advise would be appreciated.

I have an elevated CA125II of 65.  The last one was 45.  The reason it was taken was because of suspicious ovarian cysts.   I have had one on my right ovary for a about 9 months.  It has decreased in size significantly or maybe the original one is gone and it is another one.  The cyst on my left ovary is gone.  I also have 4 large fibroids which cause of lot of menstral cramps and profuse bleeding with prolonged periods.  I am 50 and not menopausal yet.  My gyn wants me to have a laproscotomy and have the right ovary removed.  I am not convinced yet that I should have it removed.  Please advise.
