CA125

Dr.  Sorry about the mistake, I posted the wrong number on my CA,   it was 14000, not 140000, had a extra zero.

Started the weekly Taxol,  feeling ok,  I think it is working.......

.Do you know if weekly Taxol, can put you back into remission, or is it just considered maintenance and works until it stops working?

Will be taking a CA again soon.
Thank you for your advice,,, it is always helpful to get feedback.

please keep us posted on how things are going for you.

Were you diganosed with Ovarian Cancer?   They found my cancer by accident & sent me for tests. My CA125 was 1500 and they hustled me into surgery two days later for a full hysterectomy (I am 39) and I started chemo 6 weeks later (Taxol & Carbo).

Once you go into "remission" you stay in remission until and if/when the CA125 is elevated again.  There is unfortunately no way to tell if the the chemo is working until your next CA125 test.  (after surgery, my level was 12.  I started the chemo and dropped to 7, then 4.  I am now done with 6 rounds, but you're always waiting for that other shoe to drop.

Stay strong, Girlfriend - when caught early & treated well, you can have a good prognosis and you get that second chance at a long, healthy life!
