CCF-RN,MSN-RF I apologize

by notinvisible, Mar 28, 2003 12:00AM
I wholeheartedly apologize if I sounded antagonistic or if it seemed like I was expecting a diagnosis--far from it. You are the second person I've asked about this that has mentioned that if the GYN I was seeing didn't see anything suspicious I shouldn't worry about it (basically). I was trying to explain that I had reason to think I was brushed off and that his diagnosis was based on an inaccurate understanding of my symptoms (he even contradicts himself in one of the reports about whether I have pain during my periods or not). I'm just afraid that people are basing their opinion of what's wrong on the diagnosis of someone who, I feel, would blame my psychy before admitting they simply don't know. What I'm looking for is any suggestions on what the possibilities are so I can research things on my own and at least have somewhere to start finding questions for my new GP and make sure I'm getting the best tests to find out what's going on-I want to understand as much as I can. What other general possibilities are there for the "spot" on my ovary besides OC? Would a TVS show growths on the outside of the tubes, ovaries, etc.? The GYN seemed surprised to find the "spot" after 2 TVS's. Any other suggestions on tests that might be helpful based on my symptoms? Besides the lap have had a PAP, general blood and hormone tests, and am scheduled for a end. biopsy in a couple of weeks--another TVS to follow if results are negative. Any  other info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated-will try to look at the things already suggested. Thank you and I truely am sorry. notinvisible.
