Can cyst not cause pain?

Is it possible for a complex cyst that may require surgery to not cause any pain?  I am getting a follow US on Thursday but I have had no pain since January.

ABSOLUTELY !!!!!     I had a 3 inch diameter cyst and didn't have ANY pain at all.  The only symptoms I had was frequent urination.  US showed the mass and had to have it out due to size, bladder frequency issues, and was suspicious for OC.  Thank God it was endo but it was already in other ovary and periteneal cavity.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Yes it is possible.  I had a 4 cm cyst for 7 years and got it removed.  I never had any pain from it.  Although, I thought it was in my ovary for all this time and once I had the surgery, it was found behind my ovary attached to the fallopian tube.  I don't know if this helps but I know people who have ovarian cysts and are pain-free.

When I had my dermoids, the only symptoms I had was lower back pain, groin pain when I would get out of my office chair (thought I needed a hip replacement, lol) and irregular periods.  I also had acid reflux, but did not know that was connected to the dermoids!  Now I have a cyst on the right, but all of my pain has been on the left.  Go figure!

I had no pain with my complex ovarian cyst at all...three ultrasounds later it resolved itself with no surgery.  So, yes, it's very possible to have a complex ovarian cyst with no pain.  Keep in mind my cyst never got over 3cm...I don't know if that makes a difference with the pain or not.

I had complex cysts on both ovaries.  Long story short, they went away and I had a brief time without any pressure or pain in my pelvic area.  All that is back what feels twice as much so I figure mine are back again.

Did you have the cysts removed or did they resolve on their own?
