Chances of coming back

I have been reading some of you questions albeit some old. I have this type of ovarian cancer in 1992 Seritoli Leydig (sp?) Stage II and at the time, because the condition is rare nobody - not even the specialist had any answers. I was lucky enough to have a friend who was a  Radiographer at the hospital and was prepared to go out of her way to help me find out what I needed to know. These were our findings, please remember this was back in 1992 and I am not a specialist, just a person who found themself with cancer and no answers.

There had been no previous case of it in the UK. As this is where I live I thought this was sufficient information for me, as to how rare the condition is.

There had only been one reoccurance of the cancer in any country.

Since the operation to remove my ovary I have had two happy healthy children

I hope this helps.

This was an old post but it had a few responses if you are looking for answers.  I am not sure if I saw a question in your post though.

It was so good to read your post, and I hope you get this message. My daughter had a large sertoli leydig cell tumour and her right ovary removed (we live in the UK) and we have had trouble trying to find any information on this.  She had the surgery, but no further treatment.  We worry what to expect as no-one seems to know, and the internet has such wide and varied advice.  To see someone who has suffered the same condition is comforting to us.
