Sorry I am the only one on this forum with Cancer. It sounds simple but a NSAID might help. Something like Ibuprofen. You might start the night before Chemo. I would check with the doctor first. I can't remember if you can take NSAIDS with Carbo/Tax.

Wow you have been through quite a lot. So glad you are living life to the fullest and have such a great outlook. I know that plays a lot into the healing process. I also have a wonderful support system and I am turning 50 in October, so I plan on celebrating also. Not a painter like you so no paintings, but I'm sure that was great therapy.
I was diagnosed with OC in January of this year. Stage 1 thankfully, didn't even think they were going to give me chemo, but they found cells in the ascites fluid and recommended the 6 treatments. I get through them okay except for about 3 days when I'm am so weak and achy and pretty much stay in bed and try to get through the day. I go in this Tuesday for the last treatment. I'm praying that it will be the last for good! I had a total hysterectomy, appendix removal and some of my colon taken out with the surgery. Long recovery, then started chemo in February.
Thought that maybe someone on this forum had medication that helped them get through the bad days.
Thanks for your response. Keep fighting the good fight!
Carbo/ Tax is the hardest chemo you will ever do. It builds up in your system and is rougher each time. Congratulations on getting through six. Many women give up because it is so hard. I go to a pain clinic. I have been in treatment for OC three years. I was late stage and have the BRCA mutation and I have Multiple Sclerosis. I am on dilated and fentynal for pain. It does not make me loopy it just helps with the pain. Being out of breath is normal. I would tell my doctor any way. We forget it is poison. They have to poison good cells to kill the bad.
Things should start getting better day by day. I lost too much weight so it took me a year to fully recover. I had my hair back in six months. It came back white but turned brown again. You will still have chemo in your system for awhile which is good because it keeps working.
I planned a big fiftieth birthday party. We had over 70 people. I am a painter and did 50 new paintings. It gave me something to look forward to. Then we did a beach trip the next year. Having goals has helped me. I am on my 4rth different chemo. Like I said I had cancer all over. I just had my three year anniversary.
I am happy and am not sick with the other chemos. Mostly I just get tired. Today I worked out in the heat then swam for an hour. I walk my dog and lift 4 pound weights every day.
I was really mad when I first got sick. Now things are good.
