Clnical trial options for Ovarian Canver with brain met

by Dan202, Jun 30, 2009 08:17PM
My two remaining brain tumors are stable after general radiation and gamma ray knife from 18 months ago...however, blood count issues and bone marrow issues prevent me from resuming preferred chemo treatments (taxol/carbol)....four treatments of doxcil has failed to reduce the dozen or so lymph nodes throughout the body cavity that are now affected. A recent scan last week showed new abdominal tumors and a spot on the liver that appears to be cancerous. Do you know of any clinical trials being conducted that might suit me given my bone marrow and blood count issues from previous chemo attempts.....thank you...

Have you discussed Avastin treatments with you Oncologist? IF you haven't...perhaps you should try that route.
You have my best wishes.
