Complementary therapies for ovarian cancer

I'm a new member so not sure if this has been covered. I live in the UK and use the internet to find out what's happening with different areas of research. Having had surgery and chemo (successful)last year for stage 3c/4 ovarian cancer I now suspect things are changing - my CA125 jumped from 7 to 36 in 3 months and I'm now being called back in 2 weeks for checks on the CA125. I also have some lower abdo pain and pressure when I pass urine. Getting very anxious!
Have been looking at how to improve my chances before further chemo etc has to be brought forward, and have been looking at complementary methods - acupuncture, Gerson's regime (can't face coffee enemas or the diet!), breathing exercises, vitamin and mineral supplements etc.
Found a website www.cancerprevention.com on Amazon when I was looking at books in this area - promoted on a number of other websites. My question - does anyone know about the source of the material on this site and its claims? It provides very comprehensive info on reasons for cancer developing and a list of supplements (mainly) to stop it in its tracks and claims of cures. You can't see any author or source - I found a link to a site selling these products (in Alaska) which are pretty expensive. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience or is it yet more marketing of snake oil? Their main promotion is of Cellular Zeolite - recently patented in the US but I can't find any really useful references to this elsewhere and it doesn't appear to be available in the UK.
Any help out there?

Given the recent study, your doctor or cancer treatment specialist will likely be able to assist you in finding the supplement and properly dosing yourself. Be certain that you consult with your treatment provider before taking any supplement, as some can interfer with the drugs being used to fight the disease.
I'm not on any medication at present, just trying to improve my immune system and use supplements or activities to slow down any further cancer cell development. I checked out the IP6 you mentioned but could only find pretty lukewarm/negative reports on its usefulness for cancer. Do you have the info on the reports from this last year? Would be very useful. I have been reading about zeolite and other products on the www.cancer-prevention.net website as well. I was going to look for a supplier of zeolite on google and when I searched for "cellular zeolite" I read this post and also found a website that says the product itself can cause long-term cancer! My dad also read the www.Cancer-Prevention.net article and we will try Vitamin B17 and Cellular Zeolite. It's correct that Waiora is the only company selling it (it has the patent). There are apparently other types of Zeolite, but their product has been engineered to be more effective.
I would've ordered it already, but the Order Form only lets you select USA/Japan/Canada and a few other Asian countries where they are based. We're in Australia, so I'm trying to find out why they can't ship overseas. So far they haven't responded to my email. ANY information or comments on this would be great.

Tom, I read your message and I hope that you check back on this. My Dad has stomach cancer too. He had 95% of his stomach removed, chemo, & radiation. Unfortunately, it has reoccurred and his prognosis is a limited future.
I have been researching this subject for awhile and the following site is the best I have come across so far. It is: http://www.bccancer.bc.ca/PPI/TypesofCancer/Stomach/default.htm. This site stated things bluntly and logically. My Dad's oncologist never told us that radiation treatment was, "of little value" and "The amount of radiation needed to eradicate the cancer is greater than the patient can tolerate" (this quotes come directly from the website mentioned previously).
I emailed this website and asked the following question:
"My father had a gastrectomy and 6 months later, after chemo (5FU) and radiation, has been notified that a piece of his small intestine that was removed has the stomach cancer. I am looking for any advice or suggesstions for his care. I have run across a product called CELLULAR ZEOLITE, it is being touted by health food persons as being able to activate the p21 gene to inhibit cancer growth. I am interested to know if you have any knowledge of this and its safety for a stomach cancer patient. I have read that the patient must drink plenty of water with the Zeolite."
This was the resonse I promptly received back from David Noble,
Library/Cancer Information Centre, BC Cancer Agency:
"We are not aware of this product - cellular zeolite. We have run a search in Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database and have found no record of this therapy. The treatment must be considered an unconventional treatment which has not received adequate testing by evidence based methods, if at all. We therefore do not recommend its use as a cancer treatment."
Now, I do not post this to discourage others, only to share my research. Personally, I am ready to try this product on my Dad. Someone mentioned a website (http://www.cqs.com/zeolite.htm) that said that CELLULAR ZEOLITE will cause long-term cancer. Well, I did not interpret his article to say that it will cause long-term cancer. He points out that mineral crystals have a long history of causing lung disease and apparently, CELLULAR ZEOLITE is a mineral crystal.
I also found a website (http://www.newstarget.com/015232.html) that countered the discourageing points of the above mentioned website. This website is very detailed article on NATURAL CELLULAR DEFENSE, which is another ZEOLITE product that is manufactured by WAIORA. This is a good site to read on how ZEOLITE works in the body. But, you have to balance its credibility with the fact that it appears that it might be an advertisement of sorts, and maybe not written in an entirely objective point of view. But, to be honest I do not know the exact aim of the article (if it is to be informative or an advertisement) and the main website claims to be a "daily news and commentary on natural health, wellness, planetary health and medicine."
Also, I found a blog (http://jackson.mboffin.com/blogpost.aspx?id=1894) where a self-described practitioner of "alternative" health (nutritional therapy), said:
"For instance, did you know that if a person has blockages or significant dysfunction in the digestive/elimination pathways (stomach, liver, pancreas, small intestine, bowel), a detox protocol can actually make things worse?"
So, I am befuddled on whether to use this for my Dad or not. Tom, have you been able to try it with your father? I would love to talk with you more on the subject of our fathers, please feel free to email me at: ***@****.
Yeah, I try to check this once or twice a week (but I check my emails at least every second day).
It's clear that doctors only know about their conventional medicine. We asked everyone we came into contact with if they knew about Zeolite, but they didn't. Another problem is that it's quite new, so not many people know it. But vitamin B-17 and other products like U-Fn (supposed to be epsecially good for stomach cancer http://www.naturodoc.com/library/detox/U-Fucoidan.htm have been around for 50 or more years, so they should be known to them.
The Problem we see everywhere is that the Pharmaceutical have soooooo much power, that they silence enyone who might stop them from making billions from the sale of Chemo etc. They can't patent apricot kernells (a very high source of natural vitamin B-17), so they can't make money from it. If everyone was able to prevention/cure cancer with alternative methods, they would loose loads of money.
One of the first pages you see when searching Cellular Zeolite in google is 'Don't eat Cellular Zeolite', but all it (and all doctors) say is that 'it hasn't been tested, so it must be dangerous'. Cellular Zeolite has actually been tested by the FDA in the US (not on how effetive it is against cancer, but that it's safe to consume). Just check the waiora webpage.
Apperently there are many different types of zeolites (even asbestos is one), but I don't believe that anyone can say that they're all toxic. Anyway, even if it causes another cancer in 10 or 20 years time, that's another decade or two without it.
I haven't heard about the 'detox making things worse', so I can't comment, but the bottom line for me is that the research that has been done shows that it can be effective and NONE of the people who claim it to be toxic/ineffective have backed it up with any research.
The only change my dad saw so far (in 1.5 weeks of taking it), is that he vomited up a yellow grainy substance one night. He hadn't eaten anything for about a week (he's on a feeding tube). But what he saw when he looked at the pictures of his cancer later that day from the Endoscopy a few weeks ago, was that it looked exactly the same. So maybe he coughed up some dead cancer cells already. We won't know for sure until we get another endoscopy in another few weeks.
Please let me know how your Dad progresses as will I. Since your Dad and you have had the courage to try the Zeolite, I believe we will too. I am just afraid to try something on my Dad that may aggravate his condition. Were you guys instructed to drink plenty of water with the Zeolite? I had read that you should somewhere.
If you feel comfortable emailing me that would be great so we could keep in contact. And of course, report anything on this site that we discover for the benefit of all. I know we are all eager to tame cancer for ourselves and loved ones.
Yeah, I sent you a quick email a couple of days ago, just saying that I posted a reply. What we are trying is the following:
Before I start to explain what my dad is doing, I just want to say that there is so information out there in books and on the web, that you could easily spend the rest of your life going through it all. So here is what we (our family) have learnt from books and from talking to people. We spent weeks deciding what products to take, but in the end we had to come to a decision even though there are 1000's more products on webpages and in books that we don't know about yet.
1) Cellular Zeolite
2) U-Fn (U-Fucoidan)
3) Oxygen Elements
4) Elemental Ph
5) Resonant Light PERL machine
The first 4 products are from the www.Cancer-Prevention.net website. Here's what I've learnt about each product:
1) All I've heard about Zeolite is from that page, so I have nothing much to add (it sounds too good to be true, but it's worth a try). My dad thinks that it has had an effect already. With every story you read, there is always a ¡¥Healing Crisis¡¦ involved when the body gets rid of toxins. In one of the Zeolite stories on the cancer prevention page, a person urinated brown gunk and actually felt worse for a while until the toxins were out of the body. The only change my dad saw so far (in 1.5 weeks of taking it), is that he vomited up a yellow grainy substance one night. He believes that it was a mini healing crisis with some of the cancer being vomited out (it looked exactly the same in the Endoscopy pictures).
2) This is also from the cancer prevention page. It was near the bottom of the list, but it SPECIFICALLY mentioned it's excellent results against Fast growing stomach cancers. It's an extract from seaweed (that doesn't sound great, but I chose it because it of the research done on it's effect on stomach cancer). 3) This is also from the cancer prevention page. Almost every Cancer book or webpage I read talks about the importance of increasing the Oxygen levels in the body because cancer can't live in an oxygen rich environment. It thrives on fermentation (rotting), so Oxygen Elements was chosen from the cancer prevention page. But there are loads of other products that say they increase oxygen levels.
4) This is also from the cancer prevention page. Almost all Cancer books or webpages also talk about the importance of reducing the Acidity of the body and increasing the Alkalinity. Cancer apparently thrives in an acidic body (Low PH level) but can't survive in an Alkaline (High Ph level). So we picked Elemental Ph to target that problem. Lots of people say that we eat to much acidic food these days (most meats, beer and especially coke is highly acidic). And cancers also seem to produce their own acid, and that makes the problem worse. We didn't know how to test the Ph, until we talked to someone yesterday. They recommended a digital Aquarium Ph Testers, available at any Jaycar or Radio Shack electronics store to test the urine. That's what we'll get tomorrow. We still don't know what a good value for a cancer patient's body Ph is ļ, but we'll find out somehow.
5) This is also VERY important to us. It¡¦s something I haven¡¦t read about anywhere, only from talking to people. It's a machine called 'PERL' from a company called 'Resonant Light' http://www.resonantlight.com . They don't mention on their webpage that they can cure cancer (because of legal reasons), but that's specifically what it is supposed to do. It's expensive (compared to supplements) at US$5500, but it's based on a lot of research by a Dr Rice in the US in the 30's. It uses electromagnetic radiation, and the best way to explain it is that it fries the cancer cells like a microwave. Healthy cells have a different structure to cancer cells, so it uses frequencies that don't affect healthy cells. When we got this machine last week, they included a book that they published on the amazing results that were achieved in the 30's. It also talks about an influential friend of Dr Rice who wanted to become a partner in the technology. When Dr rice said no, the friend (who was on the board of the medical association) decided to ban the machine. Another example of how influential people forced research like this underground. The research done by him into this technology has been continued by resonant light for at least 10 years now (since 1996) and they had the same remarkable results as they did in the 1930's. Each session takes about 1.5 hours and you lie (or sit) in front of it and goes through a program of different frequencies and pulses that radiate from the tube (pictured on their webpage). It¡¦s certainly doing something, because my dad had a healing crisis after using it. He just felt extremely tired and spent the whole day in bed. That sort of side-effect was expected because the instruction manual said most cancer patients can feel sick after using it for the first couple of weeks, while the toxins in the body are released. We also have friends who have used it with success. One of them had leukemia and was given 2 months to live. She didn¡¦t want to continue chemo and just took some drugs prescribed by the doctor to help her with the effects that leukemia had on her. The doctor said ¡¥it won¡¦t cure you, just make life easier¡¦. She kept getting better and better until 9 months later, when she was free from leukemia. The doctors was amazed on how well the ¡¥drugs¡¦ had worked, (because she never told the doctor that she was using this machine.)
We still don't have Vitamin B17 (also known as 'Laetrile'), but here is what I know. The easiest way to take B17 is by eating apricot kernels. However, B-17 contains tiny amounts of cyanide, so the medical (injectable) form is banned almost everywhere in the world except mexico.
My dad has a friend who had lymph cancer as was getting 2 chemos a week. He was in a very bad state, so when they wanted to give him a Bone-marrow transplant, he asked if that would cure him. They said no, so he chose to stop chemo and ate about 30 kernels a day for about 3 months. That was 5 years ago. He's now cured. The problem for my dad is that he can't really eat anything, so we have to get the injectable type (it's still in customs at the moment, sent from mexico). It's easy to get kernels here in Australia at organic health food stores, but they make you sign a waiver form saying that you won't eat them. They know that you will eat them, and that the B-17 treatment has been around since the 50's with a lot of success (that's why they sell the kernels). But legally they have to get you to sign a waiver. There's a LOT of info out there on B-17, unlike on Zeolite. Anyway, we don't have B-17 yet, but we have high hopes for it. My dad's friends believes in it 100%, and the person who discovered it in the 50's injected himself with a massive dose to show that it did nothing to healthy people. The cyanide is only released in contact with the cancer, so the body will get rid of the poison together with the dead cancer cells when being used. It is possible to take too much, so care must be taken because the body can't flush out the cyanide quickly enough. But in a controlled environment, it is safe. It was labelled as the 'Best cancer killer known to man' by one of the top Japanese doctors in the 70's.
If you're interested, get a book called 'B17 Metabolic Therapy' by 'Phillip Day'. Your local bookstore probably won't have it, but tell them the ISBN and they can get it for you.

We also have another friend who knows someone that inhaled ¡¥Hydrogen peroxide¡¦, but that seems a bit too extreme at the moment. But just last week I came across a MASSIVE cancer help page http://www.cancertutor.com/ and that was mentioned.
Anyway, that¡¦s what were doing and hopefully one of them works. But there are still sooooo many treatments out there. Some might be hoaxes, but false hope is better than no hope. I think with a combination of 3 or 4 things, we¡¦ll get one that works. Some of the things my dad takes need to be taken 7 times a day, so there are up to 30 times a day when he has to take things (including his normal stomach medicine to stop gas). It¡¦s not easy but we have to fight, because the alternative isn¡¦t good.
Hope that helps, but maybe it only confused you. I have information overload every day, so I guess everyone feels the same.

My father underwent surgery to remove his large intestine about three months ago. He had several tumors. He was also started on oral chemotherapy after the surgery to take care of any residual cancer. After starting the chemotherapy he suffered terrible side effects, loss of balance, blisters of the mouth and feet, his skin turned black and he could not hold down any food. The doctors had to tempoarily stop treatment. At the same time they disgnosed mastistic cancer of the liver. They said he could not be cured but they would do all they could to hold the cancer stable. At the same time the operation wounds were not healing well.
I started him on NLD Zeolite (Cellular Zeolite) four weeks ago. He has just had a check up and the doctors cannot understand what has happened, the cancer is almost gone.!!!!
No side effects what so ever. His skin colour is back, eyes are white and all the wounds from his operation are healing well.
Helping people is the most rewarding gift. I am so glad your father is getting his life back.

I live in London and have managed to get the NCD (natural cellular defense/cellular zeolite) delivered directly to the UK using the gethealthyagain.com website. I therefore, guess that they would send this to other countries as well. I have opted for the 3-5 delivery. My dad found out he had tumours all over his abdominal lining about 4 weeks ago and we were told this is a very aggressive form of cancer. They have told him that chemo will do no good as the body will not be able to tolerate it and have given him 2-5months. He is now bed ridden and is almost a skeleton. I may be clutching at straws but I am prepared to give this NCD ago, I have also ordered some Oxygen Elements Plus as well.
I note from some of the other posts that the NCD has been given alongside chemo, has anyone any experience of someone being in a similar situation to my dad and have they noticed any improvements?
I will endeavour to keep you updated. I hope the stuff will arrive by the weekend.......

I also see many people think this is a hoax. I did too! This stuff really did work for my father and I will sing its praises from the roof tops. I am so happy I just cannot explain my feelings just now. Anyway, people can believe what they will, I just hope those brave anough to try the stuff, like I did, will get the same results.

I didn't manage to get the manufacturer of Cellular Zeolite to ship it to Australia (they just don't ship overseas). But we sent it to a friend in the US and they passed it on. The www.gethealthyagain.com website is great for anyone that doesn't know someone in the US. We ordered other things from them and they had no problems shipping it to us (we're north of brisbane). We might do that aswell from now on.

I put my dad on the following:
first two weeks 15 drops, 3 times per day.
third week, 10 drops, 3 times per day.
fourth week, 5 drops, 3 times per day.
thereafter, 3 drops, 3 times per day.
I mixed the cellular zeolite in about a half a cup of water and I gave him a glass of water about a half hour before.
I also gave him extra multi vitamins and changed his diet to more fruit and veg and I cut out all sugars.

Feel free to print out and take to your oncologist (most don't know anything beyond traditional chemo's though and automatically reject them...be prepared to ask 'why')
One I don't have up yet is on Maitake D-Fraction (www.maitake.com) which is a really good one to take (can't hurt you at all unless you are allergic to mushrooms). Endorsed by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer center for all chemo regemins.
Have not heard of 'Oxygen Elements'?
