Not a doctor here and just diagnosed with a 2.5 x 1.3 septated midly complex cyst myself. I think you are within reason to ask for them to be removed. If they've changed then I'd say that you, as I, would be taking charge of your health.
My doctor said that if I decide to have my ovaries removed it would be a laparoscopic procedure and would be done outpatient. He also said that most times these are benign but since I have a pretty significant family history of cancer, breast and ovary, that he would not have a problem doing the procedure. I'm probably calling his office today to make the arrangements for after Christmas. You are in my prayers as you make your decisions.
Since you are seeing anonc/gyn already and have a family history of ovca and brca I wouls be on the safe side and ask for removal. I just would not risk it at this point. You are however in a good percentage as 95% of cysts are benign. Good luck~~~Joanne
