Complex ovarian cyst, 15 years old

My daughter has had 8 urinery infections scince March this year with painaround her right hip area extending to her back up to and just under the ribs. She has had glandular fever so was sent in October still in pain, to have ultra sound were by chance they found a complex ovarian cyst 5.3 cm x 3cm. She is possible going to have surgery late in December, the problem being she is 15 having a gynicological problem. No one has touched, examined her scince her u/s. She has had four major pain peaks but been told she is not in enough pain and has a constant under lying pain that she copes with. I am frustrated as I feel it un-acceptable that a child should just loose a year and be expected to cope/put up or shut up, . More time has been spent on doctors and hospitals doing pregnacy tests and questioning her on her sex live ( which as she say's,  great why would I want to have sex when I am in pain) and giving her antibiotics, this is also times 8 as we speak!    Help

A complex cyst of over 5 cm is concerning and should be looked at by a gyn/oncologist.  Cancer does not discriminate, not saying this is what it is.  I agree with nyc lady, screw your existing doc (pardon me), but some of these doctors, tick me off.  Sadly OVcancer has hit children as young as 4 I think.
You have to be your own voice and the voice of your daughter since she is a minor. Find another doctor-now.
Best wishes to you.

You need to find another doctor!!!!  No one should be in constant pain!!!!

Have you thought of a GYN/Oncologist .... no I do not think she cancer.  These doctors are specialists and treat many benign conditions. They have 3 years additional training over Ob/GYNs.
