Confusion w/Pregnancy, Cysts and the possibility of Cancer...

I was (still ??) pregnant. ER for pain & bleeding. TVUS indicated possible ovarian ectopic.  Then told the 'obscurity' was probably a 'complex cyst' and bleeding probably a miscarraige. ER 3 days later, pain w/o bleeding, HCG higher told I did not miscarry but a cysts ruptured.

Went to terminate pregnancy but clinic had difficulty in determing location, said it was too early to see or was an ectopic. Blood HCG elevated more.

2 days later sent to ER by MY gyn w/staff prepared to do emrgency surgery. W/ 1 abdomenal US and 3 TVUS (due to varying opinions)  1st said he heard a heartbeat but not clear on location of embryo/fetus. 2nd said it it's very difficult to distinquish between an ovarian mass and an ovarian ectopic and enlarged uterus raised questions of pregannacy still too small to detect through US. 3rd said HCG was lower and therefore the 'ectopic' was being reabsorbed by my body and there was fluid in the culdesac "probably" from ruptured cyst. 4 days later went on antibiotics and told need to be evaluated for OC, but HCG still present, and an invasive procedure could risk 'spillage' or a possible harm to pregnancy (huh?)

W/intermittant pain, brow-black spotting but not a period, nausea, vomitting, larger abdomen(fluid in culdesac?), cramping (enlarged uterus-is it stretching?)BUT my breast aren't sore or swollen, HCG is lower but not as expected if I miscarried or had an ectopic.

What will C125/thyroid/hormone tests detect? Accuracy? Why is invasive procedure so risky? Is it so hard to determine OC w or w/o a pregnancy? Do I need another Doctor?

I forgot to mention that I have had three previous miscarriages and had one extremely premature baby who had significant medical problems.

I am a DES baby. For those who do not know what that means...my mother had pregnancy related problems also and had to be given this synthetic hormone (DES) to prevent miscarrying me.

Apparenlty DES usage had to be stopped due to serious problems passed to the babies whose mothers were given the DES... These problems include: shorter cervixes, incompetent cervixes, tilted or smaller than usual uterus', higher incident of miscarraiges and ectopics, and higher risk of cervical, uterine and ovarian cancers. In the male babies whose mothers were given DES-undescended testes and sterility problems.

Risk of cancer may be higher due to an aunt who had breast cancer, an aunt with brain cancer and my mother who died at 53 from Lymphona, which started in the lymphnodes of the breast.

My cycle started at age 13, though at age 12 I started to have cramps monthly for a whole year prior to the actual onset. I had cysts before, all went away on their own except one that ruptured...this was a cyst that developed during my first pregnancy, which I miscarried at five weeks. Basically, I am always regular, except when I am pregnant.

If I am pregnant now, I have gotten pregnant somewhere between mid March to mid April...hard to know for sure since I was taking the pill and my cycle has not been right since I started the pill early March. Hormonal doesn't even begin to describe the last two months!

lots of information I know, but the more I give the more insight someone may have to my situation.

Thanks for your time

Welcome to the site!  I don't even have a clue as to what you are going through.  I do know that 99% of ovarian cysts are benign, but that doesn't mean that you should ignore your symptoms.  I am glad that you are seeking medical help even though you are going through such a mystery.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed
