Cyst recurrence?

I had my left tube and ovary removed in August 2002, due to a 7+cm teratoma. Pathology was negative and I'm told all is well. My concerns are these- #1)I still have pain in that area from time to time although the cyst is no longer crowding the intestinal area, and occasionally on my right side as well- and #2)Am I now predisposed to have the same problem with the right ovary as well? Does the initial occurence indicate a greater likelihood of a second occurence. I am concerned mostly because I had almost no symptoms to speak of, and then became violently ill with what was thought to be appendicitis. A CT scan revealed the cyst and surgery was done very shortly thereafter. How cautious should I be without being paranoid?

I was just diagnosed with a cyst in my right ovary and i am having surgery to have the cyst removed how long will it take for me to heal from the surgery?
