Cystic/solid vascular ovarian mass

Is there a chance this is not malignant. Dr does not believe it is dermoid. I am very scared now. Ca125 is 41. I'm 47  is the only true way to test for malignancy a biopsy or does the doctor already know and not telling me until my gyn/ oncologist meeting?

I will keep you in prayers too. I am hanging on to God in this matter and expecting a good report for both of us.

"is the only true way to test for malignancy a biopsy"
PLEASE do not let anyone biopsy the suspected solid mass/cyst as this will cause the capsule to rupture/leak any potential cancer cells (if it turns out to be)and seed into your pelvis. The supected mass/cyst has to be removed totoally intact by a GYN/ONCOLOGIST, studied have shwon that treatment by a gyn/onc has a better outcome.
Good Luck

I have a mass on my right ovary which is  part cystic part solid mass, the CA125 was 21.
we really have to wait and see, the answer is definitive only through histology which requires surgery.
The mass i have is reported at 6.3 x 6.7 adnexal mass.
it is a bit of a waiting game.
I wish you all the luck in the world

It is a very scary time.  I would say dont' worry, but you will.  How large is the cyst?  And yes the only way to truly find out if it's malignant is surgery I am afraid.  There's no way a doctor can tell by a scan, but it can look suspicious.  Glad to hear that you are seeing a gyn/oncolgoist, that is truly the most important thing, and also, make sure you get copies of all reports, scans, etc.
Keep us updated.

P.s. The only symptoms I have had are cramping and low back pain. I have a disended stomach which so did my 96 y.o. Grandmother so I just thought that was how we were built. No ascites, never weight lose or lose of appetite. Now I can't eat because I'm freaked and nervous and can't sleep.
