My moms blood clotsBlood clots in the lungs have cleared up...but the one in her leg is taking a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys more time. Because of that, the doc has decided to delay giving her 2nd treatment...I would say probably a delay of a week.
Will this one week delay reduce the effects of a one-two punch of chemo? Or is a matter of days not going to impact?
What to expect?, people ask....Expect the unexpected!
I have been racking my brain for the who/what/why/where/when but I cannot remember the details... but someone I know had a similar situation in that a chemo round had to be delayed due to profound illness, and I believe I recall that the doctor just added another round at the end of the cycle.
Don't worry. My chemo is always being delayed. My last cycle was delayed two weeks because of my neutrophils.I'm in England and over here they don't give us NeupogenNeupogen Neupogen singleject and Procrit unless they get desperate-all down to cost I think. So your Mom will be okay with just a short delay I think.
