For Stage IV OVCA with suboptimal debulking, please tell me what these abbreviations stand for:  s/pXL / TAH / BSO.

Not sure about the first one, but TAH/BSO is an abreviated term for a hysterectomy. (Total Abdominal Hysterectomy/Bilateral Salpingo Oopherectomy) The oopherectomy is ovary removal. I hope someone can tell you what the other one means.

s might stand for second time and the pxl might mean one of two

Thanks for explaining the TAH and BSO.  I got this information off my sister’s patient discharge orders.  She did not know what the abbreviations meant and I had not been able to find out either.  It says:

Diagnosis/Procedures:  Stage IV OVCA /  s/pXL /  TAH /  BSO /  suboptimal debulking.

If the s/pXL might mean two or twice of something, maybe it has to do with her lungs?  They had to drain fluid off her lungs twice before her surgery.
