Discomfort in Pelvic Area

I am a 41 year old woman who had a hysterectomy in 1999.  Since my ovaries were healthy at the time, I opted to keep them.  In December, I had my annual examination and my GYN said my ovaries felt fine.  I am feeling some discomfort that I think are my ovaries.  This has been going on for several weeks.  I thought I was ovulating and that it would pass, but something just doesn't feel right to me.

I hust had a dear friend who lost her life to ovarian cancer.  Since seeing what this horrible disease has done to her, I have been very worried.

Should I call my doctor or am I just being paranoid?

I forgot to add that I have never had children or taken birth control pills.  I do not have a history of ovarian cancer in my family.  I have had a cyst on my right ovary that went away on its own.

I have been dealing with severe pain on my left side for over a year, my doctor first removed a cyst from the ovary, this did not cure the pain, so i recently had the ovary removed, again the pain has remain. I also have not had children, and have also been diagnosed with poly cystic ovarian disease, I do not think your crazy and I would see a doctor about the pain. I wish you the best of luck.
