Hi there
It sounds like you have had a rough time. You have had a good evaluation. It is very helpfiul when the doctor can sit and explain things. And sometimes that can be therapeutic.
The unknown can be terrifying when you feel awful.
You should ask for copies of you reports:
-the blood work
-the CT scan report
-the ultrasound
for several reasons:
-important to keep a copy of your own records. say something happens in ten years. You have a comparison.
-for the present, you have more control over asking questions when you have the information in front of you. So it is empowering
as for the pain, it could indeed be a leaking ovarian cyst that has caused irritation and pain. with all your tests being normal, that may be the case. As painful as that is, it is not life threatening nor does it have any implications for future health.
what happens is you ovulate which means an egg pops out from the ovary. the site of ovulation bleeds for a bit. that causes irritation. The fluid or blood irritates the inside of the abdomen causing pain.
there are a few important situations to rule out such as pregnancy (hopefully you had a pregnancy test), infection, and cysts that are twisting (called torsion)
it sounds like all that has been evaluated
take care
Yeah I am only 22 and have never had kids or a cyst. All my test keep coming back clear except for the loose fluid in my abdominal area and kidney area. Do you feel lightheaded most of the time and go to the restroom more often then usual??
