Do I need further evaluation for Ovarian CA?

I had a tubal with my 4th C-Section 8 yr ago. The scar indents deeply, with adherance to underlying tissues. Lap Chole in 97. I am 40 w/fam hx of ovarian CA. I took Ortho-Novum BC pills off and on for years, and always had regular menses-onset age 15. For several years now I have had irregular periods & very frequent spotting. 5yr ago my OB-GYN put me on progesterone x 30 days. Slight short term improvement of sympts. Over the past 2 yrs, my cramps have become terrible, and bleeding on the first day of my cycle often qualifies under hemorrhage, 2 pads an hour (overnight), bright red, with lg clots. I have bloating most of the month, have abdominal discomfort, sometimes crampy, and heaviness. Frequent back pain similar to that of early pregnancy. I have always been very active, yet have noted marked decrease in endurance x 1 I have good strength.  My FP. doc noted enlarged uterus on exam.  Pap, Ca-125, thyroid, FSH, ANA, myoview, B/P, CBC, Chem 7, and Sed Rate WNL. RA somewhat elevated. (I have joint stiffness,and chronic muscular neck pain.) Pelvic US tech measured my uterus at 11cm,and said 8 was normal.The radiologist noted "thickend endometrial lining, and an ovarian cyst."probably benign". (How does he know?) "Essentially Normal." My FP suggested a test to "wash out the cells from inside the uterus to look for abnormal cells"  to be done in her office, if I wanted to.  Should I have this test?, what can it tell us? Should I worry about Ovarian Cancer? If CA-125 shouldn't be used as a screening, what can be?  Is there anything else we need to look at?  Thank You
