Do I need this test?

I am a 58 year old women, healthy. However, I was just given an endoscope and colonoscopy with some minor complications. The next day I was in excruciating pain in my abdomen, rushed to E.R for test, cat can of belly results found fluid in my pelvis and a kink in my lower intestine. Dr. were considering surgery, but my pain passed after 15 hours and morphine, fluids, hospital stay. I am now scheduled for a full barium series of the lower bowel out patient and a pelvic ultra sound because of the fluid around my pelvis. Could the fluid be related to the scope, the blocked intestine or something else? Do I need the vaginal ultra sound? Also I have edema in my left arm from the E.R. I have been putting cold and warm packs on on it? How long will that take to go down? Or will I need further follow-up with that as well?

I completely agree with the suggestions your doctor has made.
It is important to rule out an abscess and also a perforation of the colon.
