Do the problems never end .... ???

Hi everyone,

Well today is the first day i've felt semi-human as I've had some post op complications which is why i havent been on here to post, I've felt pretty rotten. Following my incision bursting open due to all the retching with the diahorrea and vomiting it turns out this was all due to a lactose intolerance which i was unaware i had and i've never even heard of so i've gone from 135lbs to 98lbs since Surgery. Now I think about it more though I did have severe diahorrea pre-op which i put down to the 'alien' resting on all my internal bits.  I'm seeing my Gyn on Friday for the biopsy results (fingers crossed it was benign) and the nurse who is calling every day to check my open wound (which is a complete mess but is draining well) has referred me to a dietician who can coach me with what I can and cant eat from now on but the general feeling seems to be that my days of cream cakes and anything dairy are behind me.

I will watch out for everyone's postings, especially Sonie who I'm glad to see is back and finally recovering well and Kaci who's daughters cyst sounds very similar to my own 'ALIEN', if it would help anyone then I can give you my email address and send you pre and post op pictures of my 'alien' to put your minds at rest. I certainly feel like a bit of an expert now.

A massive thank you to all who prayed for me, worried about me and keep track of my progress, your support has been a lifeline for me cos you all know EXACTLY how i feel.

Anne-Marie :-)

Oh goodie, another Saturday Night Cyber Party.  If you haven't been to one, they are fun!  Anyone up for margaritas? I'll be sure to make a batch or two.

I would love to see the pictures.  My daughter's surgery is next Tues. in Atlanta.  THey moved it so the onocologist could be there.  I am curious how long I will need to stay with my daughter.  I have two little ones under 10 at home, still here in Fl. but am having my mother take care of them.

I found some pictures of huge cyst on the internet today, amazing they could get so big.

I'm glad that you are doing ok.  From reading all the post here, I will make sure that I place my daughter on a bland diet.
Don't need her getting sick.  I am assuming that the docs will place her on stool softeners.

Did you loose all that weight from your 'Alien' friend?

I think we should have a contest to name your dearly, departed friend.  Kaci

Glad to see you posting again.  I too am praying for your path report to come back reading benign.   Too bad about the other, though, as lactose intolerance is the pits.  I have learned to accomodate my own case of it, but I already had weird eating habits so no one notices it!
