As I said in my previous post I am wondering if the low dose hasn't had time to kick in.  I really would like to continue it.  When I was first diagnosed, my ct scan was clear in January, 2005 and in June 2005, I had stage IIIc, so I don't want to get myself into trouble.  I have felt really good with this low dose and the side effects have been minimal.

I was also wondering if you had any thought on Avemar.  I have been reading a lot about it, but I don't want to take anything that will interfere with my chemo.  Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.  It is used in Hungary a lot and is fermented wheat germ. I noticed on the label that it has 2200mg of Manganese, which seemed like a lot, don't know much about this.

Sorry - it has been a busy week!
Thank you for your information. I think your doctor's plan is good. I am a little worried that your CA 125s are going up. It is good that you feel good. i agree with checking a CT scan.

I looked up Avemar. it is a wheat germ extract that is supposed to help immune function. i do not have any personal experience with it. I always worry that an agent that has not been held to the scrutiny of the FDA may have contaminants and may have toxicities that we do not know about.

Dear Doctor:

Since my previous I have been my Onc. and he has decided to do two treatments with low Dose Doxil and then do a ct scan.  It my ca125 goes up or ct looks bad he wants to discontinue the Doxil and go another drug.

Does this sound reasonable to you.

I made a mistake in my previous post.  The manganese is 2250 mcg, instead of 2250mg.
