Doxil

My mother was diagnosed with OC in Sept. of last year. She initially underwent an unsuccessful treatment with cisplatin and I believe carboplatin; her second treatment was with Gemzar, which had initial success for the first couple of months, but now we are told that the cancer is growing again, and that it has spread to other places.  Her initial staging was Stage IV, with metastases to the liver, perinteum, pleural space, adrenal glands, and bony structures.  She was recently given the option to begin a treatment with Doxil.  From what we were told and from what I have read, this chemo is very hard on the body and I just wondered if there is anyone out there who has had this treatment and if it has been successful in treating their cancer?
