Dr. Appt. from Friday

Well on Friday I went to my Ob/Gyn, of which I've gone to for 18 years, and delivered all my kids. He said my urine test came back positive for a bladder infection and I had a yeast infection. He did not use ultrasound/vaginal us, but instead felt all around my insides and said he did not feel any cysts. So I was then prescibed antibiotics for the infection and left his office feeling better. In fact on Sat. was feeling back to normal. No urge to urinate every 2 hours, no pain, etc. So here I am on Monday with the same old symptoms back! Feeling the need to urinate and uncomfortable in my lower abdomen. I have no reason not to trust my Dr., but now I'm not sure what to do. He said if I didn't feel better by today to call him. So again I'm scared! Do you think the antibiotics just need a little more time?

Ask for an ultra sound, if teh symptoms do not resolve with a new drug.  Be proactive with your health.

Thank you! I'm hoping since I've had this so long that is the case. Just thought it was strange that he just felt around for cysts and no ultrasound. So thanks for your advise and reponse. You all are so comforting on this site.

Call him, it could be resistant to the antibiotic you are on. Good luck
