Dry Cough after Hysterectomy/Ovarian Masses

Less than a week ago I had a total hysterectomy with two very large ovarian masses removed--via DaVinci.  I developed persistant dry cough 2 days ago and also wonder what is cause and what I can do to relieve.  Cough drops and cough syrup are not working.  Don't have pathology results yet but frozen section benign.

Sometimes people develop an irritating cough from the tube used during surgery. But since yours just started up, I would say call the doctor. With any surgery there's always chance of small blood clots forming and moving around. At least let them know.
