ELECTIVE SALPINGO OOPHORECTOMY

I'm a 62 year old woman who is being closely monitored for Lobular Carcinoma In Situ, also referred to as neoplasia of the breast.  I'm on Tamoxifan (tamoxifen).

My mother and her sister  were diagnosed with ovarian cancer post menopausal

My first cousin,on my mother's side. was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 34.  Testing for the BRAC1&BRAC2gene did not show her carrying the gene for ovarian or breast cancer.

Given the family history, I am considering a salpingo oophorectomy.  Because of my breast condition, hormone replacement is out of the question.  What do I do without any estrogen replacement?  And what are the lost term side effects

I have consulted with my gynecologist and am more confused than ever.  Do you think I should see a gynecological oncologist?  Help!  I need to decide very soon.
Thanks,
Mf.
