The ears is what I was getting at having suffered an inner ear infection (labyrintitis).  It was awful and was quite severe as just about anything brought on the vertigo and resultant vomiting.  It lasted three weeks and I lost thirty pounds (way more than I could afford)  It is tough to diagnose but does resolve on its own.  I doubt that is it or you would not keep anything down but gotta wonder about more common ear infections.  It is possible to have an ear infection without the pain, something I didn't know.  My DH had been trying to pop (equalize) his ear for over a week and got him to go to the clinic last week, you guessed it, an ear infection.
The advise on drinking water is always sound regardless of the problem.
I checked out your site Vista, you are one beautiful woman and way too young and busy for all this!  Hope you find relief!  MV

I have bouts of dizziness from time to time.  It turned out to be something so simple....I had fluid behind me ears and didn't even notice it.  I took a decongestant and it was gone very quickly.

Did they look into your ears in the ER?  Are you drinking plenty of fluids?

have had 5 operations...the first two, felt the same for almost 3 weeks.  Then a friend told me that after effects of anesthetic can last up to three months so I drank loads and loads and loads of water..Yes I didn't get a full nights sleep getting up every couple of hours to weewee for 10 days. But i believe that it helped me get rebalanced quickly. Drink lots of H2O

Hi Vista,
I agree with the Nurse in that dizziness is an unusual post op symptom and would advise against suggesting it has something to do with the surgery, it may not.  So wondering if the dizziness and nausea get worse with any particular activities, like riding in the car or reading.  Start noting that sort of thing.  I guess I am wondering if what you are suffering is more like vertigo, that sort of thing.  MV

Hi Bootsy, I am so sorry that you are having such complications.  I have not had any dizziness after any of my surgeries, but I think you need to go see your doctor on Monday.  Could it be that you are allergic to your pain meds?  What pain meds are you on?  I was given perocet for pain, and it caused me to itch, be dizzy, and neauious.  Try calling the pharmacy and see if dizziness is a side affect of your pain meds.  Hope this helps.  Kasie
