Elevated CA-125

I have an ovarian cyst, left ovary, that started at 2 cm and now is 3-4 cm. I have been to gynecolgic oncologist and he feels it is most probable the tumor is benign.  Although my oncologist recommends following up with monthly CA-125 for 3 months, then a repeat transvaginal ultrasound.  My original CA-125 test result was 127.  1 month later, is now 148.  I am concerned.  I also have medullary sponge kidney disease, just diagnosed this summer.  My hands have a very dry, itchy rash.  I am 45 years old. Any opinions here?  Should I wait it out for another 2 months, or seek more aggressive treatment?

Thank you for your opinion.  I read a little about my itchy hands, that it could be auto-immune so wasn't sure if related to cancer.  I will let you know what is happening.

It is my opinion that you should seek a more agressive treatment. IOW, go ahead and have the hysterectomy and find out what is going on.  Your CA125 is climbing and the cyst is growing.  At the very least, I would get another opinion. I doubt the problem with your hands is due to the ovarian cyst.  I've never heard of that happening anyway.
