End of the road

Dear friends,

I'm not sure who is still on this forum back when I posted a lot more than I have this past year, but I wanted to share that my beautiful mother Cheryl was healed from cancer yesterday and went to be with her loving savior.  I cannot begin to express the loss this is for me, my brother, and my three children.  She was a light to this world, and everything seems a bit dimmer today.  This forum was a tremendous support to me and helped me work through various questions and fears over the past 2 1/2 years. Thank you.

I am so sorry for your family's loss.  I love the way you decided to say your mom "was healed from cancer yesterday"......she is at peace and without pain now.  That has to be a sort of bitter sweet pain and comfort for you, your brother and your  children.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I think of you now and then, wonder how things are going. Since we live relatively close (I'm in Portland), I felt connected to you. But I didn't say much.

I know how special your Mom was to you and this will leave a big gap in your life. I know she's free from the pain but I understand your loneliness too. Please take care of yourself, feel free to remember, to cry, to smile.

My heart jumps with the knowing "she has been healed" however my heart aches as I think of your loss.  Oh Denyc, I am sorry.  Our God's comfort is abundant and HE is able  to ease the pain of a broken heart.  Your Mom ran the race of life to win and now you my friend must follow through...continue to run.  Myself along with so many of those in your life are praying for you and believing that you too will run your race as beautifully as the two woman before you...your loving Mother and legendary grandmother.  Blessings of hope to you Denyc.
