Endometrial Thickening, the more worrisome finding on U.S.

I have had abdominal pain, bloating, nausea and no bm for 14 days, loss of wieght, 11 lbs since Dec.  Awful abdominal pain on May 29th, thought of calling 911, diaphoretic (soaking wet from pain). PCP referred me for US.  Impression was Abnoraml endometrial thickening (23mm)  2.4 cm complex cyst R ovary. According to US report endometrial thickening is more worrisome and deserves workup to exclude endometrial neoplasm.  I'm wondering if a hysterectomy would be considered "radical". Awaiting biopsy report, biopsy done 3 days ago.  And what is this constipation about???  I have been eating a lot more to try to gain weight.  5'10" 130 lbs, was 144 last year, lost 11 since Dec.  Repeat Ultrasound to be done June 20th. of Right cystic mass.  Mostly wanting to know if hysterectomy is a radical procedure, it's my preference but Dr. says radical at this point.  I am 51 years old and have no use for uterus.  I am starting HRT for menopausal symptoms.  Currently bleeding(have been for 7 dyas now) and no predictability to periods if any. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi you can pretty much bet the constipation is related to the ovarian cyst. Most of us have suffered with that. The cysts press on the bowel and sometimes the bladder.

Just welcoming you to the board.  I don't know if a nysterectomy would be considered radical or not, but I DO understand your feelings on the matter.

Someone will post who knows more about this.  Hang in there!
