Endometriosis or Cancer or contain both

Hi,

I just found out this site. I like to have your advice who has similar experience with my situation. My ultrasound report said that I have a complex 3.6 cm cystic mass with diffuse internal low level echoes and irregular mural nodules on my right ovary. This lesion also shows thickened wall and  several small echogenic nodules along the wall.

My Gyn doctor said it's the endo cystic and not the cancer. I scheduled with her to remove cystic or ovary on 6/2/2009 by using laparoscopy.

I was told not seeing gyn/oncolongy doctor until been diagnosis with cancer.

I worried about that if I diagnosis with cancer after laparoscopy. I have to go to the second surgery with gyn/oncology doctor? because my gyn doctor doesn't know how to deal with cancer.

The word from my report "thickened wall and  irregular mural nodules" seams like I have a cancer but not only the cystic.

Does any one have similar situation with me?

Totally agree with you.  The best is to have a GYN/oncologist performing the surgery, at least to have one on call, just in case.


Youu can definitely see a gyn/oncologist, even just to have a second opnion.
