Tina,

Today (Wednesday) is a big day for me as well, I'm getting ready to go into the hospital to have a procedure done that will hopefully shed some light onto my symptoms...I'll keep you posted.

I was surprised to read that your doctor knew you had endo just by your labs.  My doctor claims the only way to reveal endo is via a laproscopy as it doesn't show up on u/s and there's no blood tests to diagnosis it.  Odd that it doesn't show up on an u/s...but I'm no doctor (just one in training with all this medical **** I'm dealin' with!)

Endo is really painful and according to my doctor there's no options left for me to treat it if indeed it ends up that I have it...oh great, just shoot me now!

Take care and keep in touch.

Ravenlady,

I'm so glad you are here.  You posted to another one of my messages and I think your support is fantastic.  Even when you don't suffer from the exact ailment, you always know what to say to encourage other members.  You are terrific!  :o)

D-fly, you are such a sweet person thank you so much. well i just got back from the doctor and she didnt really help me at all, but i am going to a obgyn dr tomorrow. i told her how i was feeling and that im not getting better just worst.  she said she feels i have Endometriosis but all she gave me where pills to help me poop , birthcontrol pills and 800mg motrion. same thing all the other dr's gave me. my husband  was very upset with the dr and told her thanks for nothing, all i did was sit there and cry. so now all i have to look forward to is the dr tomorrow, well im off to another day of work and pain :(

Hi Tina,

Hang in there.  I can tell you that I have travelled the same long and frustrating road that you are on.  We're in this together.  Last week I had an abdominal u/s and a pelvic u/s...I don't know the results of the abdominal one but the pelvic one again showed the same problematic small cyst on my right ovary.  I went through a colonscopy because the pooping problems are the same here...nothing.  As of now the only thing my doctor can find is a small cyst and possibly endometerosis.  He claims the only way to diagnosis endo is through laproscopy yet he keeps putting it off and I am still in pain.

I have tried other options, birth control is no longer an option as I have high blood pressure due to kidney disease.  I did high doses of vitamin B12 and still nothing.  My CA-125 is elevated but whoo hoo, that can be because of a million things and my doctor isn't concerned with the elevation.  My doctor also offered a drug that will put me into menopause for 3 months, yeah right, on top of everything else in life you want to shut down my ovaries, no thanks!

Tomorrow I go for a cystoscopy to rule out any bladder problems causing my pain.  I will keep you posted if any conclusions are drawn on my case and you do the same.  Thankfully you have your husband by your side, just hang in there...atleast you know there are other women out there with the same symptoms and the same doctors who don't seem to understand how uncomfortable we are.  I'm about to grab my doctors privates and let him feel the pain I deal with! :op

I hope the Ob/Gyn is more compassionate at investigating your symptoms.  Have you had any tests to rule things out?

Hugs,
D-fly  :o)

It sounds like you are comming from a scary place; I would be scared too. You need to slow down a little bit; take a number of deep breathes and make your shoulders drop down from around your ears!
This is definately a tough time in your life but you can handle it.
Tomorrow, when you see your physician, let him/her know how concerned you are and that you need him to sit down and talk with you. If you were to say, "hey, help me understand what is going on with me", a physician worth his salt will take the time to answer your questions and give you some re-assurances.
If he or she does not then find another physician.
You definately have something going on and you must get someone to listen to you.
Don't ever think your physician is superior to you; he or she is not. Do not give your power to them; they are working for you. Just like they can do things you cannot; you can do things they cannot. Mutual respect is the key to a good working relationship between you and them.
They owe you explanations until you understand what is going on with you.  After all, how can you fight something you don't understand?
Don't give up; don't you ever give up; and, somehow try to not be afraid. I'll be watching for you, kid.  dian
