Femara

Mum has finished her chemo for a reoccurence of OVCA. CA125 was 60 but now 18. The CT scan showed that the swollen lymph nodes have now shrunk back to normal, the masses in her pelvis have gone and the only thing thats left is a small spot in her liver which they are not sure whether its cancerous or a scar left from the cancer. They have given mum a hormone tablet called femara to take for the rest of her life which they have said is an anti cancer drug and will kill any cancer cells. Has anyone had this?
I am pleased that the chemo has worked.

please see my other comment. I do not think we know how helpful femara is but it is not very toxic either.

You should ask your mother's doctor about radiofrequency ablation of the remaining liver lesion
