I am age 56, 2 years postmenopause, and have been experiencing cramping and vaginal bleeding on and of for several weeks, sometimes barely spotting and some days like a light period. My doctor ordered a transvaginal ultrasound and I am now awaiting results of a subsequent endometrial biopsy, but my question is about the 2 follicular cysts indicated on the ultrasound report. I've read they are not uncommon, benign, and will usually resolve within a cycle or two; however, since I am postmenopausal, is there any type of follow--up you would recommend for them?
