What the hell? I thought dermoids were benign. I have one so I hope they are benign...

Also, when they appear in other places than ovaries, they are called Desmoid tumors and are most always cancerous there.They feed  from estrogen.

Oddly, the malignant dermoid cysts are most commonly found in young men.  I had a neighbor in college who developed a tumor in his chest; it was a malignant dermoid.
