OVARIAN CANCER EXPERT FORUM
Gemcitabine

Gemcitabine

Could you help me please. My oncologist is considering giving me Gemcitabine & Treosulfan.I know this is used for melanoma.Do you have any stats or information on its use for Ovarian cancer at all.I am stage 3c Ovarian cancer diagnosed last year.Had debulking,carboplatin/taxol for six months.Three months later the cancer recurred.Had 5 cycles of Caelyx but my ca125 began rising after the third cycle so I am having no more.I'm waiting for a ct scan at the moment, but she has mentioned this treatment as the next one.I was told a trial had been done and the results were good for ovarian cancer. Any ideas?
Many thanks
Sue.
