Granulosa cell tumor

I am nineteen years old and I had a cyctectcomy and laparascopy a month ago to remove a large cyst, after my surgery my doctor told me they had found the rare granulosa cell tumor but had removed it. But it had ruptured, and now I'm scheduled for surgery again to have another laparoscopy to see if cancer has spread or possible staging. Do i have anything to worry about? or does anyone has any advice on this kind of thing?

Not saying any fault , but it is recommended not to rupture cyst/mass.  As shewrites initially wrote "  go to a gynecological oncologist" for your 2nd surgery.

well my next surgery coming up i'm having a different doctor, but after my first sonogram i dont really remember what they told me, just at that time the cyst wasn't any kind of tumor. so if anything, would it have been my doctors fault for the tumor rupturing?

PLEASE listen to shewrites good advice. Can you tell me what the Dr's originally told you after your first sonogram, what type of cyst did they say it was?

Please, please get a referral to a gynecological oncologist.  They have more training and experience --  and most likely wouldn't have ruptured your tumor.  Please do not proceed with the doctor who did your initial surgery.

I'm sorry to read this, and I hope that a gyn/onc can get you back on track.  Good luck!
