HRT

HRT

I have been taking HRT for over a month now, due to surgery TAH, Endomeraial/lining of uterus, I am not comfortable taking the pills,Premarine, but I have hot flushes about twice a day, I don't have sleep problem. But my Dr. said if I don't take it, I am going to look old and that my breast is going to fall  and vaginal drieness etc. I am in my mid thirty, I can exercise and eat right to avoid flashes, but am just worried about looking old, as he said, if I stop taking them. This week I started taking them every other day. I want to stop taking them. Any advice or any other option (natural) will be appreciated.

Another thing is that is it ok to take soy product like Soy Milk, while taking HRT. I have been taking Soy milk for 2-3 years, recently, I have read an artile about Soy vs certain cancers ,so should I keep drinking Soy milk while taking Premarine/hrt. Any advice on this? thanks

Hi There,
You have a complicated question. there are many opinions and each woman's reaction to menopause is unique. I recommend that you look at the hystersisters website. you will find a wealth of useful information there
best wishes to you

Hey there Silla....get back to the "patient to patient" forum....you will get more answers there...personal experiences plus concern for your situation....talk about "bio-identical hormones" ...this stuff made out of pregnant horse urine is not a good idea....why do you want to put that stuff into your body...after all, you are not a horse!  Hope to see you on the other side soon.
Peace.
