by ANGELWINGS21, Feb 01, 2007 12:00AM
Hi Ladies, I had my left ovary and falopian tube removed Dec.4th, i had a regular cycle last month ,with stabbing pains where the ovary was removed, just had my 2nd cycle since surgery last week, a few days before i kept waking up  soaked in sweat, i never perspire like that is this because of the laporotomy? I am 44 yrs. old is this normal?
THANKS!

Hi,
It sounds like your hormones are still a bit messed up.  I had surgery to remove an ovary and cyst Nov 13 and I haven't had a period since. I experienced a month of spotting which, after using ProGest cream it stopped but since then, nothing.  I don't have any menopausal symptoms either but then again, I do have a remaining ovary.  But since I haven't had a period I know my hormones are messed up.

It takes a while for our bodies to bounce back.  I'd say if your night sweats persist then call your doctor.  Maybe they can suggest a temporary hormone solution for you.  Right after my surgery I had those awful night sweats to the point I would wake up feeling like bugs were crawling on me but it was just sweat trickling down.  Icky!  LOL

Hi there.  Hope you're feeling better!  Have you cooled down?  LOL

I have started spotting AGAIN.  It's nearly 3 months after my surgery.  I go in for my annual next week and will address this hormonal issue.

God bless to you!
