Had radation trying to get pregnant...

hi im 27 and i was diagnose with ovarian cancer two years ago i finished radation in august i havent had a period since i had one ovary left after surgery and before radation my doc asked me if i wanted to have anymore more kids i said no but i think i was more concern about getting the cancer treated im now thinking of having more is it possible to have anymore kids even after having radation or is  the one good ovary i had left ruin (i did have a child with that one good ovary but it was after chemotheraphy but before radation) Do i have hope or should just give up trying.

unfortunately, ovaries are very sensitive to being destroyed by radiation. While cancers need doses of 4500 to 5500 cGy to be adequately treated, ovaries are destroyed at doses of 200 cGy.

You should ask your doctor for your treatment records. You will see what dose of radiation was used.

To determine ovarian function, blood tests looking at hormone levels of estrogen which is produced by the ovary and hormones from the brain , FSH and LH   will also determine if you are in menopause.
