Has anyone had Radiation for OVCA??

I took my mom to a Radiation Oncologist today at the suggestion of her chemo oncologist. My mom has had vaginal drainage since her OVCA surgery in April. The oncologist at 1st said the chemo should take care of it. However, after many months the drainage is worse. Today the Dr. said she will need to start radiation treatments daily for 20 days in addition to chemotherapy. Has anyone else had BOTH at the same time and how did you do?
ANY information would be appreciated.

I know this post is late but for anyone else out there, I am currently checking out radiation done by "cyberknife" see accuray.com a much more accurate technology where radiation is delivered so that critical structures ie liver, and normal tissues are not/minimally damaged. It is recently FDA approved with sites coast to coast and over 8,000 patients.  I have stage 4 recurrant ovca so am not sure radiation would even be worth the effort in my case.  May your journey through cancer- land be as humane and painfree as possible.
