Has anyone used Marinol?

Has anyone used Marinol?

And is/was it more effective than Zofran and others?

I used it for a short time when I was initially diagnosed.  My doctor gave me a small dose, and I think it was probably too small to make a difference as far as nausea and appetite went.  Around the same time I started taking it, I started having anxiety attacks.  I'd never had them before, so I attributed them to Marinol,  I stopped taking it and they went away.  My  doc told me if it worked well for me, he would increase the dose, but because of the anxiety, I didn't follow up on it, and stopped it altogether  I have been on Anzemet ever since, and it controls the nausea pretty well.

I actually used it for a short time also. The only thing it did for me was make me sleepy. I was still nauseated and couldn't eat for days. I was hoping that it would at least give me the "munchies", but nothing happened! As far as controlling nausea, I found that what worked best for me was taking a 125mg Emend on the day of chemo and Zofran, as needed, for the days following.
