Help!

Hey everyone. I popped to my doctors today because I've been having spotting/discharge between periods which is really strange for me. Turns out upon me stating this and saying last period I had Brown discharge four days before period, I have now been referred for a pelvic scan because no other means of diagnosis have been effective as far as I can see. I'm a mess. So so scared because I have a three year old boy who is my absolute life. Please can someone offer me some comfort as I have felt so so off all day ; ( Am crying right now xx

Hey HVAC! I just wanted to update you. I've had a smear test recently (last Tuesday) so am waiting for some results on that (it was my routine one, it just fell in nicely with its timing with what I've had going on.) But can you believe, this month I have had NO vaginal issues??!! Perhaps it was a blip??

Mmmm :( Possibly. I'm going to see if it happens again this month and go back, they recommended a referral to a gyno and smear test brought forward (last one was 2012.) I didn't mind the probe to be fair! That could have been it as report was signed off as normal by my doc! :/

You have something going on. What I do not know. The blood could be from irritation. Those probes are not fun. When you have a female exam you can have bleeding for several days. Hope you get a good report.

It's okay lol. Scan went well, the lady who did it said she couldn't see anything concerning/worrying on there so I guess that's good. Results should go to doc tomorrow so we'll see, had brown stringy discharge after the scan and intercourse on Friday, now today had red when wiping so who knows what's going on with me :(

I take pictures of things that make me happy with me and maybe an I pod with music you like. Do let anyone tell you jokes. Put a pillow over your belly if you cough, sneeze or laugh. They pump you full air so the worst pain is the gas. The more you walk the better.. I did not use much pain medication because the constipation pain. A latex glove and vaseline will be your best friend for constipation. My brother even thanked me for that advice after surgery.  I robe is important for not showing your back side. Getting in and out of bed is tough. The nurses would not help me. With MS it was tougher. I bought a $5 walker at a thrift store it helped the most when I got home getting out of bed and off the coach. It is better than having anyone pull you. Do not over do the laxatives or the diarrhea is just as bad. House coats are best when you get home and leaving the hospital. You are not going to want to put pants on.

You are not a hypochondriac. Something is going on. I would still have a lot of hope. It could be many things that are not cancer. Sure you are scared that is normal. Hang in there I am here and I care.

I guess HVAC. I am a hypochondriac and have had these symptoms for a while, it's just the fact I'm being referred that scares me. Spotting is the only real symptom that I keep going to the doctors with, although my sticky out left rib I've only just noticed is now also concerning me! I am scared. But not as much as I was. Still waiting for the letter so I guess that's a positive.

They want to be thorough. I would not jump to ovarian cancer you have less than a 2% it is ovarian. Spotting is not usually a symptom. I know you are scared. Anyone would be. When is the scan?

Thank you so much for your reply. I think I've been referred because it keeps happening, am not even in pain and I guess they want to rule everything out. Thanks again ♥

IMenstrual irregularities are not all that uncommon and seldom an indication of anything serious. Brown discharge is just some old blood and nothing concerning. So chances are the scan will not turn up anything sinister. So try to remain calm.
