Hints on how to use this site?

Hi, I am just back home from hysterectomy on 6/16 where I was diagnosed at iiic.  Definitely feel beaten but I'm ready to fight this monster. I was lurking here before surgery but never posted question because....It would have made it real????  Anyway, I'm 48  and they got most of it,,including part of colon which was resected, so no colonscopy.  I guess my question would be about site etiquette, anything I can learn about you all, etc... definitely a newbie to this computer stuff.  Also a bit whacky from Tylenol 3 right now.
more later.

As the other gals have said this is a wonderful site. I am sorry that you have had to seek us out, but we will try and help all that we can. If you feel the need to vent, go right ahead. We have all been there and have found we need to get it out once in awhile.
If you have any trouble navigating through the site, just let us know. It is not real hard, as several of us are computer illiterate and couldn't do it if it was.
I wish you all of the best.

Sorry you have to be here but it is a wonderful site.  It is WAYmore than a place to get information, it is a neigborhood of friends that lean on each other, cry with each other and rejoice over the smallest bit of good news.  At the top right of the page you will see

If you click on the HealthPages you can read a lot of stuff that is very informative that some of us have put up there.  It is for us, the users of the forum to put things that we think others might find helpful.  There is a little bit of everything so I would suggest you look through those to see if you find anything helpful to you.
As for etiquette, just remember, for the most part there are real people with real feelings on the other end of your computer.  You sound very thoughtful though, so I don't think you will have a problem at all.  Good luck to you.

I am sorry about your diagnosis.  I am now a 1 year survivor of 3b mucinous adenocarcinoma . I first came to this site to post a question in the expert forum.  After that I wrote a real whiney journal page about how my family was over working me when I was still chemo sick.. The comments made by some members on the journal made me feel like sticking around. I have found friendship and support here and I never feel like I am fighting this thing alone.  Any questions you have you can post in the forum.  You can also search the archives for cases that are similar to yours.  I use the notes and messages to keep contact with friends here.  When do you start chemo?  I wish you the best treatment and a long life. Marie
