Hormone Therapy

In June 2006 I was diagnosed with stage 4b. Mets to lung.They were not sure whether it was Ovarian or endometrial. Had 6 months of  trial of Adria, Taxol and Plat. Six months later had lung wedge on right side. Now I'm taking Hormone treatment - 3weeks progesterone 1 week tamoxifen. CAT doesn't show anything 6 months in. My question is - How well can hormone treatment work? Is this just palliative?? I'm a lab tech that worked in Oncology for 16 years. Please tell me in your opinion, is this is the right treatment for me right now. Thanks

Hi There,
I completely agree with your therapy. That is just what I would have done as well.  If you do not have any current sign of cancer, then currently, you are in remission. You do have a risk of recurrence and need close follow up.  I am so glad that you are doing so well
