How about a little good news for a change?
I hesitated to post because so many are not getting good reports lately. But, maybe by posting some good news, in its own way, it can spread a little hope.
I got my CA 125 results yesterday. Unbelievable, but my CA 125 went from 246 to 66 in ONE MONTH!! I can only assume Aromasin is doing the trick. I also know my lungs are pretty much back to normal, so that helps, too. I also had a bone scan on Tuesday because my local Onc suspected bone mets because of all the pain I've been having. Got the results back from that, and it was negative for mets. I do have a bit of spine degeneration that's still within normal limits, scoliosis, and arthritis in my knees and ankles. But the important part is no mets! The pain is likely caused by Aromasin, but if it is working that well for me, I'll deal with the pain as well as I can.
Thank you ladies who posted kind notes to me. I wasn't even thinking about my CA 125 because I've pretty much given up on my local Onc since I've been going to MD Anderson in Houston. I didn't even know he ran a CA125 last week. So when the nurse called and told me, you could have knocked me out of my chair with a feather! In two weeks, I will hit my 3 year anniversary of being diagnosed. Two more years, and I'm no longer a statistic. This has been an interesting ride, and I'm sure there is more to come.
It's my prayer that Donna, Linda, Ronni, Jan, Chris, Sharon, Rhonda, Teresa, Leslee, Dustinsmom, and anyone else who hasn't gotten good news lately that I may have missed will start hearing those postive words very soon. I am also thinking about Tasha and Sherrygail as they start treatment later today (it's after midnight where I am).
Thanks for always being here for me. I love you all and knowing you are here is a good mental kick for me.

So sorry I missed this being out of town last weekend. That is WONDERFUL news. To know that the other issues you were having are clearing up too is really good to hear also. I know those tanks aren't fun. That is quite a drop in your CA and I hope it continues to go down to 2. Take care of you and enjoy your fortunate news.

Thanks for sharing your great news! My chemo lasted from 1:30 until 5:30 today. I am pretty tired but hopefully my bad side effects won't start for a couple of days. My husband and I have plans as things get uncomfortable, so this time should be easier than last year. I also hope Tasha is doing well. My heart really goes out to her and all my sisters with ovca. Gail, I am so glad that you decided to post your WONDERFUL news!! I think it will really raise emotions on here. You know you are always in my prayers. That is great news and I feel the same as you there should always be a thread for "Good News" it does help and give lots of hope. I just got my 1st ca-125 since I finished Topotecan and it was a 9. I haven't seen a 9 for 3 years!!! So I was pretty excited and I also had a visit with my Onc and a exam and all feel normal to him..so I'm still dancing with NED. I pray for all the ladies having difficult and scary times right now and all those who are on chemo. (((hugz))) ladies!!!~~~~Joanne
