How exactly is a laproscpoy done for ovarian cysts?

I am scheduled for a laproscopy for a right ovarian cyst that mu gyn says should come out because of my history of breast cancer.
How is this performed is there alot of pain with it. My surgery is Wednesday Dec 15, 2004.

We are having basically the same surgery, on the same day!  I am a nervous wreck, since I don't know exactly what the doctor will find (if it is cancer or not).  I am always a basketcase when it comes to any issues with my health because I so rarely have any problems.
