Hypoechoic Lesion??

Hypoechoic Lesion??

Okay so got my u/s report it says:  "In the left ovary, small hypoechoic lesion, 1.2cm, non-specific, but statistically most likely benign such as endometrioma or hemmorrhagic cyst.  There is additional predominantly simple cystic area 1.5 cm in size with on curvilinear echo within it, also most likely benign.  Through transmisson and no color flow.  No free fluid.

My questions are 1.) what is hypoechoic, is this just a fancy U/S word and what does it mean in this case, 2.) what does curvilinear echo mean, and 3.) do you think because mostly of my age that they are considering these "statistically benign" or most likely by the way they look.  Im 28 btw, but have family history of ovarian tumors in my mom.  Also, I have a lost of cysts and mostly recently had on 6cm that appeared "complex" but that seemed to just disappear within two months!

Anyway any U/S people out there that know what these mean.  I know the clear definition of hypochoic but what does it mean in this instance!  THanks
